I have hardly met a soul in this wide world who does not enjoy eating french fries. They are so popular for a reason and rightly so this is the ultimate comfort food that everyone loves to indulge in every ones in a while. However many time eating this deep fried french fries does not agree with our waist lines for most of the folks and is loaded with a ton of trans fats. But hopefully i can rescue you in this situation and offer you an way to enjoy this delicious recipe without having to worry about the outcomes later. In fact, eating this healthy dish will potentially fill you up and keep your craving at bay for a long time . Without much further ado lets look into how to prepare it

Preparation:

1. Wash and peel about 3 large sized potatoes

2. Cut in finger sized wedged and wash it again to get rid of the excess starch. Then drain it well to ensure the potato wedges do not have excess moisture. Be sure not to slice the wedges too thin else the timing for baking will change.

3. Drizzle oil, salt, black pepper and some other seasoning of your choice ( i used Italian mix of dried oregano, rosemary and thyme) and some dried basil. Toss the potatoes well to ensure that everything is evenly coated with the seasoning and oil

4. Now bake this at 180 degree C for 25 minutes , and then toss the potatoes and bake for another 20 mins so that the wedges are nice and crispy around the edges.

Once done this gorgeous and crisp potato wedges can be enjoyed with any dip or your choice like Guacamole or mint chutney. I prepared a mint chutney by grinding some mint coriander, green chilli and a few soaked cashew in a blender with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Enjoy these french fries guilt free :)
