My musings and Savory Indo-Chinese for dinner

For a while now i have had this idea of having Indo -chinese for dinner . I kept on flirting with the idea of cooking it myself or ordering it from a restaurant. I must admit I absolutely love this cuisine and have absolutely no control over myself when it comes to treating myself to some Veg Machurian and Noodles. I can go out and have this for dinner every single night but i decided to challenge myself and experiment if i can curb my own craving. So without much further ado i present to you my version of #VegManchrian recipe.


Veggie Balls

1. Finely chop up some cabbage, carrot, celery and green beans in a mixer (a few pulses should be good).

2. Add some salt and set aside for 5 mins so that the veggies release their excess water.

3. Squeeze out the excess water out of the veggies so that it is easy to bind them with flour.

4. Add garam masala and some maggi masala to this veggie mix

5. Add 2 -3 teaspoon all purpose flour and 1 teaspoon corn flour per cup of veggies and 1 teaspoon oil.

6. Kneed the above mix well to bind well in a soft dough.

7. Make small bite-sized balls from this dough and put them in a baking tray . These balls are ready to be baked. Bake them in oven for 20 mins each side at 350 F

Manchurian Sauce

8. In a sauce pan heat about 2-3 teaspoon and add 1/2 cup of chopped onion and 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

9. Once the onion turns translucent add chopped capsicum and a pinch of salt and sautè it lightly.

10. Add 2 teaspoon of tomato ketchup , 1 teaspoon of soya sauce ,1 teaspoon of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of green chili sauce and 2 teaspoon of water to the pan.

11. Add the veggie balls to the sauce pan and bring the mix to slight boil and add 0.5 cup of water

12. Final step is to add a 0.5 teaspoon of corn flour in 3 teaspoon and once it dissolves well add it to the sauce pan. Turn off the heat once the sauce begins to thicken.

To garnish simply add a few pinch of spring onion leaves on the bowl and the Vegetable Machurian is ready to served and enjoyed
